The post before advent officially begins

Blue Winter Dress

outfit_blue-dress Today is Sunday in commemoration of the dead. It always marks the last day of pre-advent time. After today you are officially allowed to listen to Christmas music (I am guilty of listening to a few tunes already ;)), bake cookies, think about Christmas and get panicky about presents and gifts. Only one more week and the first advent Sunday knocks on our doors.

Of course our cities and department stores have to prepare their decorations and displays much earlier than tomorrow. In Leipzig and Berlin all the Christmas market stalls are already installed, awaiting their opening on Tuesday. I myself sipped a Lebkuchen Latte on Friday and been preparing the advent calendar for all of you. This year it won't be hosted on Neu4bauer but we're having a goodie or tutorial over at SISTER Magazine. I would love for you to come over and follow us this December!

With December marching up the temperatures have dropped as well. Time for my warm winter dresses *hihi*. One of them I already own for more than a year (my mom sent it to me when I was in London January 2010) but I've never really worn it. I always felt a bit like a sausage … However I have decided in the last weeks that I won't really change all that much in the next months, thus I am wearing the dresses I always felt to 'heavy' in and throwing away the ones I will NEVER really fit in anymore. It actually feels relieving!
By the way: these boots are really that daring (I think) - overknees in grey suede - and they are also really that uncomfortable ;)

On the last days of christmas free tunes I also want to share a few songs I really enjoyed this evening: all from Angus & Julia Stone – and on my playlist thanks to Sandra!:

Your hair cut is definitely a hit ! This is such a great dress... And why do you feel like a sausage. Sausages are made with cheap meat which you are not made of. So please no feeling like a sausage. Feel well dressed and so nicely shaped. You have great figures, do not wait until your are 72 to realize it while looking at old, old blog post ;-)))). Feel confident, with that outfit, heads will turn (as they probably already do). This wintery light blue is ahhh superb. The boots.... big sigh here... I think that I need to go to Zara more often. They are fantastic. Very Annie Horth (Celine Dion's stylist, she is a figure in styling). If your mother as time and you find knit sequin fabric (the november issue of Burda Magazine had a tunic made of that. You can find the fabric in Germany I think)I would wear those for a holiday party with a long knit sequin tunic that falls on the boots and off on one shoulder.. Enjoy! As Shakespeare wrote: "Youth's a stuff will no endure". Superb.
